Dansco Coin Albums have established themselves as trusted companions for both experienced numismatists and novice coin collectors. The Roosevelt Dimes 1946 to Date Dansco with Proof Album is housed in a 1″ binder, providing ample space to store and showcase up to 252 coins. This album comprises 6 Dansco pages (series: 8125-1 to 8125-6), meticulously designed to hold and display the complete collection of Roosevelt dimes minted from 1946 to the present year, including the proof coins.

The introduction of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s portrait on the dime in 1946 marked a significant change. Designed by John R. Sinnock, the new dime featured Roosevelt’s likeness on the obverse, with the initials “JS” appearing as a nod to Sinnock’s involvement. Mintmarks were initially placed on the reverse of the coins from 1946 to 1964, but after a four-year hiatus, they reappeared in 1968, this time positioned on the obverse.

From 1946 to 1964, Roosevelt dimes were composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, weighing 2.50 grams each. However, starting from 1965 and continuing to the present day, the composition shifted to a pure copper inner core with an outer layer consisting of 75% copper and 25% nickel, resulting in a weight of 2.27 grams per coin. Regardless of the composition, all Roosevelt dimes maintain a uniform diameter of 17.9 mm.

Dansco Coin Albums are celebrated for their durability and functionality. The pages of the album are affixed with metal screws, facilitating easy addition and replacement of coins. This feature ensures that your collection remains secure and allows for effortless customization of its arrangement.

Whether you are a seasoned numismatist or a beginner embarking on your coin collecting journey, the Roosevelt Dimes 1946 to Date Dansco with Proof Album provides a reliable and organized solution for storing and showcasing your esteemed collection. With its thoughtfully designed pages and dependable construction, Dansco Coin Albums continue to be a preferred choice among collectors of all levels of expertise.
