Surrounding it and following the outline of the frame, the reproduction of different shields used throughout the history of our country, as well as the eagle found in the central part of the first page of the Mendocino Codex.

At the bottom the symbol of the Mexico Mint. In the upper right quadrant the inscription “AGUILA REAL”. In the quadrant lower right the legend “ANIMALS IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION IN MEXICO”. In the quadrant upper left the scientific name of the species (Aquila chrysaetos).
