The 2008-D Hawaii quarter is the Denver Mint issue of the 50th and final coin in the U.S. 50 State Quarters Program. It shows King Kamehameha I extending his arm toward the Hawaiian Islands with the state motto “Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ʻĀina i ka Pono” (“The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness”).
