The 2013 3-Coin 5-Star Generals Commemorative Proof Set honors five of America’s highest ranked World War II generals: Douglas MacArthur, George C. Marshall, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Henry “Hap” Arnold, and Omar Bradley. It was released to celebrate the 132nd anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Army Command & General Staff College (CGSC), known for its long history of training U.S. Army officers.
This set includes three proof coins, each struck to the U.S. Mint’s highest standard, with mirror-like finishes and sharp detail:

A proof Half Dollar (Clad) coin with portraits of Generals Henry H. Arnold and Omar L. Bradley on the obverse, reverse featuring the heraldic crest of Fort Leavenworth.

A proof Silver Dollar ($1, silver) coin with Generals George C. Marshall and Dwight D. Eisenhower on the obverse, and the Leavenworth Lamp with the crest of Fort Leavenworth on the reverse.

A proof Gold $5 half-eagle ($5, gold) coin depicting General Douglas MacArthur on the obverse, with the reverse showing the Leavenworth Lamp.
Each coin is presented in original packaging with a Certificate of Authenticity from the U.S. Mint.
