Emperor History:
Caracalla was the son of Septimius Severus and ruled first alongside his father and brother Geta before becoming sole emperor. His reign is especially remembered for the Constitutio Antoniniana of AD 212, which extended Roman citizenship to nearly all free inhabitants of the empire. He remained emperor until his assassination in AD 217.
