Dansco Coin Albums have indeed been a popular choice among coin collectors, offering a reliable and customizable way to store and display their collections. The Nickels Plain Dansco Album is designed specifically for U.S. nickels and comes in a 5/8″ binder, providing ample space to hold up to 140 coins.

The Jefferson nickel, first minted in 1938, featured the original design by Felix Schlag. Schlag’s design remained on the coin until 2004 when the “Westward Journey” Nickels were introduced. From 2004 to 2006, new obverse and reverse designs were minted each year, offering collectors a variety of designs to choose from.

In 2006, a new design was introduced featuring a traditional depiction of Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s home, on the reverse of the coin. The obverse also received a new portrait of Jefferson. This 2006 design has become the current face of the Jefferson nickel and is prominently displayed in the Nickels Plain Dansco Album.

Dansco Coin Albums are known for their durable construction and functionality. The pages of the album are attached to the binder using metal screws, allowing for easy addition and replacement of coins. This feature ensures that collectors can update and customize their collections conveniently.

Whether you are an experienced numismatist or a beginner collector, the Nickels Plain Dansco Album offers a versatile and secure way to store and showcase your U.S. nickel collection. The album’s plain pages give you the freedom to curate your collection based on your preferences and interests, while the sturdy construction ensures the long-term preservation of your coins.
