In 1796 constant wars have gone on before and after 1796 a coin from a time period of war and the first Italian war campaign initiated by Napoleon. But this was the year that Napoleon and his 38,000 French soldiers faced 38,000 Austrians and their allies of 25,000 Piedmontese. His plan was to isolate the Austrians from the Piedmontese, then conquer each separately.
