Historical Significance

The 1910 Lincoln Cent followed the landmark 1909 release and was the first full-year issue without Victor David Brenner’s initials on the reverse. This change came after public criticism of the “V.D.B.” placement, and the design remained unchanged for years to come. The coin is a cornerstone of early 20th-century U.S. coinage.
