Historical Significance
The Wisconsin quarter was the fifth State Quarter released in 2004 and the 30th overall in the series. It marks Wisconsin’s admission to the Union on May 29, 1848, and uses agricultural motifs to reflect the state’s long-standing association with dairy farming and corn production.
Collectibility
This clad San Francisco proof is a popular option for collectors building complete 2004 proof quarter runs or full 50 State Quarters proof sets. It is also worth distinguishing from the famous 2004-D Wisconsin Extra Leaf varieties, which belong to Denver circulation strikes rather than this proof issue.
