Historical Significance
Released on April 4, 2005, Minnesota’s quarter highlights the state’s outdoor identity and its nickname “Land of 10,000 Lakes.” The “1858” date references Minnesota’s admission to the Union on May 11, 1858.
Collectibility
The standard 2005-P issue is plentiful for albums and rolls, but high-end gem examples are tougher than the mintage suggests. Collectors also chase the well-known 2005-P Minnesota “Extra Tree” doubled-die reverse varieties.
