Historical Significance
Utah was the 45th coin released in the 50 State Quarters Program and the fifth issue of 2007. The design honors Utah as the 45th state and celebrates the driving of the golden spike at Promontory, the symbolic joining of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads that linked East and West.
Collectibility
The 2007-S Utah clad proof is a strong choice for collectors building complete State Quarter proof sets, railroad-themed collections, or Utah-related sets. Its mirrored proof finish, historic locomotive reverse, and connection to one of the most important transportation milestones in American history give it strong collector appeal, while the separate silver proof version offers a lower-mintage companion.
