Historical Significance
The 1910 Lincoln Cent marked the first full year of the revised design after the removal of Victor David Brenner’s initials (“V.D.B.”) from the reverse. This cent continued the Mint’s tribute to Abraham Lincoln following the centennial of his birth in 1909 and laid the foundation for what would become the longest-running coin design in U.S. history.
