It consists of 6 Dansco pages (series: 8185-1 to 8185-6) designed to display all Presidential dollars minted from 2012 onward, including the proof coins.
The Presidential $1 Coin Program pays tribute to former U.S. presidents. Annually, the U.S. Mint releases four new coins featuring portraits of these presidents on the obverse, with the Statue of Liberty on the reverse. Deceased presidents exclusively receive this honor.
Controversially, the motto “In God We Trust” was originally placed on the edge of the coin. However, some 2007 Presidential dollars were mistakenly issued without edge lettering, prompting the U.S. Mint to relocate the motto to the obverse.
Presidential dollars consist of a pure copper inner core and an outer layer comprising 77% copper, 12% zinc, 7% manganese, and 4% nickel. Each coin measures 26.5 mm in diameter and weighs 8.10 grams.
