Dansco Coin Albums have served as trusted companions for both seasoned numismatists and novice coin collectors alike. The Sacagawea Dollars 2000 to 2027-S with Proof Dansco Album is designed to accommodate and showcase the complete range of Sacagawea dollars minted from 2000 to 2027, including the proof coins.

This album comes in a 1 1/4″ binder, providing ample space for organizing and preserving your collection. It consists of 7 Dansco pages (series: 8183-1 to 8183-7), with each page dedicated to holding and displaying the Sacagawea dollars.

Glenna Goodacre’s design, selected through a national competition, graces the obverse of these coins. It features a portrait of a young Native American Shoshone woman carrying her infant son. The reverse of the coin showcases a flying eagle design by engraver Thomas D. Rogers Sr.

Commonly referred to as “golden dollars,” Sacagawea coins possess a plain edge and a distinctive shiny golden color, setting them apart from previous coinage. In 2009, The Native American $1 Coin Act mandated the introduction of three new reverse designs for the Sacagawea coins. These coins also marked the first time that the year of minting and mintmark were struck on the edge.

Sacagawea dollars have a core composed of pure copper and an outer layer made of 77% copper, 12% zinc, 7% manganese, and 4% nickel. Each coin measures 26.5 mm in diameter and weighs 8.1 grams. They were minted at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints.

Dansco Coin Albums are renowned for their durable construction and user-friendly features. The pages are attached with metal screws, allowing for effortless addition and replacement of coins. Whether you’re an experienced numismatist or just starting your coin collection journey, Dansco Coin Albums provide a reliable and organized solution for preserving and displaying your precious Sacagawea dollars.
