Following the popular 2016 and 2017 Silver Liberty medals, The U.S. Mint continues their medals program with these Presidential Silver Medals. Each medal is struck on a .999 fine Silver planchet generally used for Silver American Eagles.
Medallion Highlights:
- Medal contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver.
- Comes encapsulated in a U.S. Mint box along with a certificate of authenticity.
- Obverse: Features a right-facing profile of George Washington with “1789” immediately below. Surrounding text states “George Washington President of the United States of America”.
- Reverse: Across the top are featured a peace pipe and tomahawk crossing each other. “Peace and Friendship” are the theme as a pair of hands shake in the center, the left hand being of a Continental Army delegate and the right being a Native American.
- Rim: Smooth edges, rather than reeded.
- Medals are not legal tender.
