About Denali National Park and Preserve
Established in 1917, Denali National Park and Preserve encompasses more than six million acres of pristine Alaskan wilderness. The park is home to Denali, North America’s highest mountain at 20,310 feet, as well as diverse wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. The rugged landscape and abundant wildlife make Denali one of the most celebrated national parks in the United States.
Collectibility
With a final collector mintage of 20,461 pieces, the 2012-P Denali is a popular issue within the America the Beautiful series. Its striking Alaskan wildlife design, depiction of North America’s tallest mountain, and relatively limited mintage make it a favorite among both ATB collectors and silver enthusiasts. Examples accompanied by their original U.S. Mint box and Certificate of Authenticity are especially desirable for complete collections.
