Design

The reverse depicts a lone bristlecone pine tree growing among rocky terrain with the snow-capped peaks of Wheeler Peak in the distance. The design highlights one of the oldest living tree species on Earth and the remarkable natural beauty found within Great Basin National Park.

The obverse features the familiar portrait of George Washington used throughout the America the Beautiful series.
