Emperor History
Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus ruled from AD 41 to AD 54. Once considered an unlikely successor because of physical disabilities and his scholarly nature, Claudius transformed Rome through military expansion and governmental reforms. His successful invasion of Britain in AD 43 marked Rome’s first permanent conquest of the island and remains one of the defining achievements of his reign.
Collectibility:
Silver denarii of Claudius are highly collectible due to their historical importance and comparatively limited availability. This NGC Choice XF example, featuring the iconic OB CIVES SERVATOS reverse and superior strike quality, is an outstanding addition to any Roman Imperial or ancient coin collection.
